KINETIKA

Kinetika experiments with perception by creating objects which transgress expectations, which surprise people and force them to cognitively engage the pieces. The act of cutting a piece removes matter from it but while it diminishes its mass at the same time it transforms it by eliciting movement and dynamism from an object that was previously static. Wooden objects are usually associated with qualities such as solid, strong and stable but Kinetika aims to challenge those preconceptions. Kinetika departs in different directions, from sculptures and art pieces to functional and conceptual products, creating an anarchic discipline.
