Aviv Shany is an Israeli-born designer and maker living and working in Barcelona, Spain since the year 2002. He has worked within a wide range of creative practices for independent and commercial companies. His eclectic experience has determined an open and experimental approach.

He challenges the conventional boundaries of art, craft and design, creating an anarchic discipline. The work is transformative, the users and viewers find themselves surprised and serene, which is the signature combination of Aviv Shany’s objects and spaces.  He has exhibited his works in several galleries in Barcelona, Valencia, Lisbon, Milan, and Tel Aviv.

Apart from the studio’s work, Aviv is a teacher member of the Design faculty at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) Barcelona.
